Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., with Student Services hours extended until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesdays.
All students are encouraged to come in early to be advised for classes and to schedule any necessary testing for Texas State Initiative (TSI) compliance. Early advising will prevent unnecessary waiting once walk-in registration begins. TSI Assessment or proof of exemption is required before enrolling in college courses. All students, regardless of exemption status, who intend to enroll in a mathematics course other than MATH 1314, MATH 1324, or MATH 1342, must attempt a placement test. Students who are TSI exempt may take the free placement test offered at the Midland College Testing Center in the Scharbauer Student Center, Room 260, (432) 685-4504. Required test scores must be available before a student is permitted to register for classes.
Class placement will follow the same procedure for transfers as for Midland College students. If students have had math and/or English, placement will be based on the performance in college-level courses. If, however, these subjects have not been taken at the college level, or performance was below a grade of C, testing will be required. The instructions for testing for beginning freshmen will apply to these transfer students. Under Texas Success Initiative (TSI) regulations, a Texas college must now have a transfer student’s college transcript or (TSI) status on file with Admissions prior to or at the time of registration. Those without transcripts or test scores must be tested as freshmen or registration will be delayed.
NOTE: New students are required to have on file: (1) application for admission; (2) individual approval, final high school transcript or General Education Development (GED) certificate and/or test scores; (3) transcript(s) from all colleges attended; (4) official TSI Assessment scores or proof of exemptions from TSI. For high school students, early admission/dual credit also requires the approval of the school district and the student’s parents/legal guardian.
Returning students who have satisfied all TSI requirements and have cleared re-admission are eligible to register online at Campus Connect..
