ONLINE COURSE INSTRUCTIONS AND SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

WEB (ONLINE)

For online instruction, students access course information and lessons via the Internet. Almost every WEB course is taught through Canvas, a learning management system accessible from the Internet. Students need to have access to a computer and students must have a RELIABLE Internet Service Provider prior to the start of class.

FINDING AN ONLINE COURSE

To find an online course in the College Credit section, look at the end of each departmental listing. If there is an online header it will be followed by a list of all Online courses offered in that discipline.

WEB (ONLINE) COURSE INSTRUCTIONS

Students should login to their online course on the first day of class as published in the Course Schedule. If students do not access the course and participate in the course by the census date, they will be dropped from the course.

Canvas login instructions can be found at www.midland.edu/canvas. After determining your username and password, click on the Canvas link to login. Late registrants will have access to Canvas within 24 hours of registration. If students have problems logging into Canvas, they should click the Help link at the bottom of the page and submit a ticket.

STUDENT E-MAIL

Students at Midland College have been provided with a student email account at no additional cost. For instructions and access to that account go to www.midland.edu/studentemail.  This email address is Midland College’s PRIMARY method of contacting students with important information, and it will be the default Canvas email account for new Canvas users. If you have questions call (432) 685-4788.

MIDLAND COLLEGE BOOKSTORE

Course materials are available at the MC Bookstore (432) 685-4545 or online at www.midlandcollegebookstore.com. WRTTC Students may order books at www.midland.edu/wrttc on the Book Reservation Link. Please buy them before the course begins.
