Mary M. Williams is an associate professor of English. She teaches Composition and Rhetoric as well as Composition and Literature and British Literature courses. Dr. Williams teaches Composition and Literature online also. She came to Midland College in 2001 from Texas Tech University, where she earned her Ph.D. in British Literature. She earned her master's degree from UTPB in 1996. Before graduating in 2001, she taught at both schools as a teaching assistant and at Lubbock Christian University as an adjunct faculty member. Dr. Williams has directed the Creative Writing Contest since 2003. She tutors in the Midland College Writing Center and has done so since she came to Midland College.
