Stacy Egan

Stacy Egan is an English Instructor at Midland College. She holds an M.F.A. in creative writing-fiction and an M.A. in English Literature from McNeese State University. She completed her Bachelor’s in English and Writing at New York University. In addition to teaching at Midland College, Stacy has taught at McNeese State, where she was the recipient of Dore Awards and a Pedagogical Development Award and Howard College; she has taught a variety of courses including Developmental English, Integrated Reading and Writing III, Intermediate Writing II, Composition and Rhetoric I and II, Composition and Literature, and American Literature. She is a native of Austin and enjoys living in beautiful west Texas with her husband, Brendan and their two cats. In her free time, she enjoys writing; her work has been published in PANK Magazine, Driftwood Press, WomenArts Quarterly Journal, The New Plains Review and The MacGuffin, and PANK Books will publish her short collection in Fall 2017. She has presented writing and research at regional and national conferences including South Central Modern Language Association (SCMLA), The National Women’s Studies Association, and International Writing Centers Association. She is the tutoring coordinator for the Language Hub and a faculty adviser for Sigma Kappa Delta English Honor Society.
