Bachelor of Applied Technology in Organizational Management
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Bachelor of Applied Technology (BAT) program is designed to broaden career opportunities for students and
better their chances for promotion to supervisory positions. The program is designed to provide a career-ladder for
students who have already completed an associate degree and who wish to continue their education at the
bachelor level. Whether you are a beginning freshman, or a college graduate with an Associate of Applied Science
degree, the Bachelor of Applied Technology in Organizational Management program may offer an especially
desirable career option for you.
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
With preparation of students for entry-level jobs accomplished by their study in A.A.S. programs, upper-division
courses in Organizational Management further prepare them to effectively lead and manage business operations
within their technical fields of interest.
Enrollment in Organizational Management (TMGT) classes requires:
• Admission to the BAT program, and
• Any A.A.S. degree meeting Texas accreditation requirements, or
• Completion of 60 college-level semester credit hours with a “C” or better in courses toward an A.A.S. or the
Texas general education core including:
1) English 1302, and SPCH 1321 or equivalent, plus completion of an approved A.A.S. degree
2) or be within 15 semester hours of completion.
