Placement in class will follow the same procedure for transfers as for Midland College students. If students have had math and/or English, placement will be based on the performance in college level courses. If, however, these subjects have not been taken at the college level, testing will be required. The instructions for testing for beginning freshmen will apply to these transfer students. Under THEA regulations, a Texas college must now have a transfer students college transcript when he/she registers. Those without transcripts must be tested as freshmen or delay registration until transcripts are received. A college transcript is also needed to validate college credit earned prior to Fall, 1989. (3 semester hours of college credit earned before Fall, 1989 exempts a student from all THEA requirements.)
NOTE: New students are required to have on file: (1) Application for Admission; (2) High school transcript or General Education Development (GED) Certificate and/or test scores; (3) Transcript from last college attended, if applicable; (4) For high school students, early admissions with the approval of high school principal and Vice President of Student Services.
Returning students who are THEA exempt or those who have passed all 3 sections of THEA and have cleared re-admission are eligible to register online using Campus Connect. The Campus Connect Icon is located on the main web page, bottom left. .
