Midland College Announces Record Enrollment for Summer I Session
June 4, 2009
According to Dean of Enrollment Management Bob Haines, Midland College reports an all-time high record enrollment for the Summer I session! The current Summer I number, combined with enrollment from Spring flex entry courses and the Spring Interim session, means that Midland College enrollment for the Summer I reporting period totals 2,597! These numbers show an increase of 4.8 percent over Summer I 2008, when enrollment stood at 2,479.
Enrollment numbers reported show that 2,342 students are enrolled at Midland College this Summer I session, showing an increase of 69 students over 2008, when 2,275 students were enrolled.
“I’m thrilled to see these numbers, which show that we are serving more students in the region. It speaks well of our faculty and staff who have worked so hard to recruit more students and better serve them,” said MC President Dr. Steve Thomas.
The Midland College service area where Midland College offers classes includes Midland County, Rankin, Big Lake, Iraan, Ozona, Sanderson, and Ft. Stockton, where more than 250 students enroll each semester in classes at MC’s 20,000-square-foot Williams Regional Technical Training Center.
