A reception honoring students who achieved academic excellence during the Fall 2008 semester was held February 23 in the Allison Fine Arts Building. More than 109 students’ grades qualify them to be on the President’s List and more than 151 students have qualified for the Deans' List.

“This is an opportunity for administrators and faculty to honor the best students for the hard work they have put in at Midland College,” Vice President of Instruction Rex Peebles said about the annual event.

To achieve recognition on the President’s List, a student must earn a perfect 4.0 grade point average while taking 12 or more hours of classes. Those named to the Dean’s List have at least a 3.5 grade point average while taking 12 or more hours.
