Grand Piano Fund Over the past year Midland College’s music program has experienced much new and exciting growth: enrollment in piano studies has tripled; a new music library has been built; the digital piano lab has been used each semester to introduce first time pianists to the joy of music making; a new music degree curriculum has been launched; the MC Jazz band has received rave reviews from concert-goers; and most of our music graduates are continuing their music studies at four-year institutions. Our vision is to become the Permian Basin’s premiere School of Music. To accomplish this goal and to accommodate our burgeoning enrollment in music, we are in need of new pianos–digital pianos, uprights, grands, as well as a concert stage piano–in order to continue to inspire and touch the lives of music students for years to come. To give music students the chance to work with the finest pianos the world has to offer, we have started a piano fundraising initiative. The goal of this new initiative is to raise $250,000 for the purchase of a collection of state-of-the-art performance pianos. If you wish support our fundraising efforts, consider making a tax-deductible contribution to our Grand Piano Fund.
