Popular Magazines contain current events and general interest articles written by journalists and freelance writers for the general public.  
   
Popular magazines
    
Look for:
 
  • Author: journalists or freelance, writing for the general public.
  • Articles: reviewed by magazine's editors.
  • Abstracts and bibliographies: usually not included.
  • Appearance: usually contains pictures and illustrations, rarely charts or diagrams.
  • Length of articles: shorter articles.
  • Publisher: usually commercially published.
