	ELECTRONIC INDEXES

To access the Electronic Indexes within the Fasken LRC Databases, you need to be logged on to a Midland College PC. Since the College pays for these subscriptions, they are only available to Midland College students. Any PC networked within our various campuses will give you access. Distance Learning/Blackboard students, contact your instructor or the LRC for remote access information.


		Various databases within each group: Ebsco, Gale, FirstSearch, ProQuest, index articles from multiple journals, newspapers, and magazines. You can also find information from government publications, pamphlets, newswires, books and videos. The information that you find may be from national or international sources, in English or other languages.


	While there are similarities in how you search electronic databases, each group has its own search screen & peculiarities. Once you've decided which group (see TexShare Databases) best serves your needs, determine which database/s you need to search.
