
COM Aquatics, Inc., 3003 N. “A” Street $180 ***Parents: For the following camp, drop-off and pick-up children at COM Aquatics, Inc.*** Our Aquatic Camp offers indoor swimming, diving, rope swing, boats, rafts, noodles, rings and lots of other games and activities. This camp is activity driven – utilizing four different pools, gymnastic room and trampolines! COM trained and certified coaches and camp counselors will introduce your child to the fun and safety of water activities, games, races and much more. Games and activities are designed to strengthen your child’s swimming and physical skills. Campers will reenergize with a snack provided by COM. Swim skills are assessed at the first session by our Professional Coaching Staff. Any camper needing additional help in the water (i.e., life jackets) will be equipped at that time. This way all campers can enjoy participating in all the games and water sports. This camp is NOT for non-swimmers, children must be comfortable in the water in order to enjoy camp. Not found in stores, the special Lego Logo kits provide extraordinary opportunities for the hands-on construction. Under the guidance of a certified educator, along with detailed technical plans to follow, the participant will build robots, race cars, four-by-four trucks, cranes, pulleys, levers, and more during this energized week of discovery with Lego! Motivated by fun, creativity, and success, the young builder will expand knowledge of math, science, and technology in an exploratory hands-on cooperative environment.

Make It and Take it Home - Science Projects you take home $140.00 In this hands-on, fun, and exciting program, you will discover how amazing science is. You will make and take home a wide assortment of toys designed to teach you science concepts in a hands-on way. Grow and take home a crystal tree. Make an energy bead bracelet and watch as those amazing beads turn from white to a rainbow of colors before your eyes. Build a working electric motor. Make your own sharpie pen T-shirt and learn some cool chemistry (student supplies a 100% cotton T-shirt). Make your own bubbling blobs and explore the properties of a density tube. Make silly putty—glowing goo—green flubber and other cool projects. By the way...we will make ice cream in our own amazing, different, Sciensational way! Session I: June 11 – 14 (four days only, first week of Session I) 5466 113Q 8:30 am– 12:00 pm grades 1 - 6 Eqyptian Dig – Buried Treasure Digs $140.00 Children discover the amazing science of Archaeology as they uncover ancient artifacts. In doing this, we will learn about Egyptian life. We will excavate with tools like a real archaeologist uses. We will find the following artifacts as we excavate a scarab (what’s that?), hieroglyphic tablet, ankh symbol and a jackal. You will learn about this and even take home a booklet. The artifacts are yours to keep. We will wet the sand that we dig into and create one of two sand sculptures for display. You can make a pyramid as well as a sphinx. Midland Community Theater (MCT), 2000 W. Wadley Call 682-2544 for more information Due to conflicting schedules between MCT and MC, this year’s theatre camp will only be held during week one of Kids’ College which is the week of June 11 – 14. For all students attending Kids’ College, transportation will be provided from MCT to Midland College at 12:00 p.m. Students will have time for lunch at the dining hall by either purchasing or bringing a lunch. After lunch, staff will supervise and escort students to their afternoon activities at Kids’ College. TRANSPORTATION AND LUNCH WILL ONLY BE PROVIDED FOR THE WEEK OF JUNE 11 – 14. (Please complete Parent Permission Form for Transportation to enroll in the lunch program).
