RISK MANAGEMENT INSTITUTE ASSISTANT COORDINATOR
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and assist with the Midland College RMI (Risk Management Institute) program and courses to include: Marketing, Course Development, Community and Business Assessment, Program Financial Management
- Create and maintain Course Fee Codes for RMI courses
- Coordinate and maintain the instructor packets, binders, course material, and reference material for classes and seminars
- Assist Workforce Education Director with company contacts and marketing materials as required
- Provide course data input for RMI, to include updates/changes and assist in scheduling classes
- Upon notification, provide assistance with course cancellation and notification to proper individuals
- Maintain spreadsheet for assisting Director in program tracking statistics to include contact hours, number of attendees, revenue and expenses for each fiscal year
- Order office and classroom supplies as needed by the RMI
- Provide assistance in overview of department budget; generate purchase orders, invoices, and monitor class enrollment and payments by use of organizational tracking systems
- Maintain waiting and cancellation lists of designated RMI courses, contact students on list if necessary to fill a course
- Provide on-site registration as needed by the department
- Develop marketing materials and recommend advertising plans
- Act as liaison between RMI and other departments within Midland College
- Assist Director with annual reports and annual budget projections
- Prepare course handout materials as needed
- Develop and prepare/distribute the RMI continuing education schedule
- Assist other Workforce Education departments whenever necessary and when authorized by the Director-Workforce Education
- Perform additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent. Industry experience will be considered; Associate Degree preferred
- Computer literate; to include word processing, databases, spreadsheets, etc.
- Communication and public relations skills
- Program development skills
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Knowledgeable in the operation of general office equipment (calculators, copiers, etc.)
- Community involvement
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
SALARY
Position is funded through grant money. Salary range is $22,000-24,000.
