PART TIME BUSINESS COUNSELOR FOR

THE BUSINESS AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CENTER 

This position is located at 211 West Florida.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Advise, assist and participate with individual clients (local business owners, managers, and potential business owners) in the following areas:

• Develop business plans and financing options for: new business start-ups, purchasing a business, and expanding a business
• Network with entities/individuals interested in Midland economic development

• Assist with the coordination of the Networking Breakfast;
• Facilitate, coordinate, and conduct specialized seminar offerings
• Prepare various reports for the Business and Economic Development Center (BEDC)
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Good computer skillsExcellent communication skills
• Experience as a trainer/educator preferred
• Bachelors degree in business preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred        
• Experience as a small business owner is a plus

SALARY

$20.00 per hour and a maximum of 19 hours per week.
