INTRAMURAL COORDINATOR/CHEERLEADER SPONSOR

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, schedule and supervise all events and tournaments on campus and with area colleges
• Recruit and train game officials and referees
• Supervise work studies and part-time staff
• Develop public relation plans for intramural events
• Assist with jump start and other summer leadership programs
• Supervise, oversee and maintain game room and its equipment daily
• Conduct tryouts, and selection of cheerleaders and monitor eligibility requirements
• Coordinate, attend, and supervise cheerleading activities and trips
• Maintain and operate budget
• Purchasing and maintaining supplies and equipment
• Maintain and update MC websites for all Student Activities areas
• Maintain confidentiality of all student and staff information and records
• Attend training sessions as necessary
• Work effectively both autonomously and as a team member
• Assist with general academic advising
• Develop wellness program and safety awareness education for students
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Certification in various recreational areas

Preferred:

• Experience working in the field necessary
• Working knowledge of rules and regulations of intramural sports program
• Computer experience

SALARY:

$30,000-$33,000 per year. Excellent fringe benefits.
