GOVERNMENT FACULTY

RESPONSIBILITIES

Teach 15 semester hours per two semester academic year of Federal and State Government and other Government/Political Science courses. Serve on committees as assigned and advise students.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• Master’s degree in Government /Political Science with specialization in the government of the United States

Preferred:

• Course work in state and local government, especially Texas, and minority, ethnic, or gender studies
• Successful teaching experience and knowledge of and commitment to, community college education
• Second teaching field (18 graduate semester hours) in either History, or Psychology

SALARY

Starting salary $35,666 per year. Salary is commensurate with educational qualifications and experience. Excellent fringe benefits. Position will start 01/072008.
