ADMISSIONS CLERK

RESPONSIBILITIES

• General office duties including registration, heavy data entry and updating, telephone communications, filing, and frequent public contact
• Assist in reviewing and coding of every application during registration and non-registration periods
• Process and code all incoming transcripts
• Process and code all THEA, ACT, SAT, and TAKS scores
• Assist in maintenance and distribution of all records and drop
• Assist in clerical support for the Director of Admissions/Recruitment
• Assist Admissions Receptionist Specialist with front desk duties when necessary
• Check and sort department mail daily
• Provide clerical assistance for the Bachelor of Applied Technology program if necessary
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
          

• High school graduate or equivalent; some college preferred
• One year clerical experience
• Strong organizational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of general office equipment
• Good working knowledge of computer software and word processing
• Valid Texas drivers’ license and eligible to be covered under Midland College’s auto insurance
• Ability to lift some heavy equipment

SALARY 

$1757.42 per month.  Excellent fringe benefits.
