AIR CONDITIONING, HEATING AND

REFRIGERATION TECHNOLOGY INSTRUCTOR

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and teach courses offered in the Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration (HART) Program
• Prepare and communicate clear education objectives while presenting current and accurate course content to the students
• Work with representatives of local industry to further the program and enhance the instructional resources
• Facilitate and coordinate support services for students and industry regarding school-to-work, high school and cooperative leaning activities
• Attend advisory committee meetings
• Participate in recruiting and advising activities
• Work may require split day and evening work schedule
• Other duties assigned by Midland College Administration

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• Associate Degree in related field
• Three to five years work experience in the industry
• Strong leadership abilities, organizational skills, presentation skills, computer skills, management skills
• English proficiency both written and oral

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• Community college and/or high school teaching experience
• Established relationship with the local HART community
• Seven to ten years related work experience and related industry certifications

SALARY

Salary commensurate with educational qualifications and employment experience. Excellent fringe benefits. 

This is a 10 month position to be filled in Fall 2008.
