Beverly & Joe Pevehouse

pevehouseThrough their leadership and their generosity, Joe and Beverly Pevehouse established a legacy of commitment to Midland College that dates back to the early years of the school, and endures to this day.

There are few areas of Midland College that have not been touched in one way or another by their generosity. For example, there is the Beverly and Joe Pevehouse Endowed Scholarship for students who have financial need and no other financial assistance. Over the years, Beverly and Joe Pevehouse supported the college through gifts totaling millions of dollars. The Pevehouse Administration Building was named in the couple’s honor in 1997.

Both of them would take an active, leadership role in the Midland College Foundation. Joe was a founding member and the first President of the Foundation Board. He passed away in 1992. Beverly would continue his legacy of service on the Foundation Board. She was president of the Board from 2000-2005.

Over the years, Beverly Pevehouse would also be honored for her support of the West Texas chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society, and the Girl Scouts of the Permian Basin. Other organizations that benefited from Pevehouse's involvement include the Permian Basin Area Foundation, the Midland Memorial Foundation, Community & Senior Services of Midland, the Museum of the Southwest and many, many others.
