McCormick Gallery • About

Established in 1971, the McCormick Gallery is located on the beautiful campus of Midland College in the Allison Fine Arts Building.

Our mission is to exhibit, collect and preserve works of art for all to enjoy, share with others and benefit future generations. Whether you are visiting for the first time, or returning, the McCormick Gallery will always provide an educational experience.

Every year we have a full calendar of exhibits including group and solo shows featuring the works of contemporary artists. We also host the Midland Arts Association/Midland College Fall Juried Art Exhibition, which includes up to 140 pieces of extraordinary work from artists all over Texas! Each Spring and Fall we host our Student Art Shows, complete with a reception, in which the community is invited to enjoy the wonderful works of art as well as enjoy light refreshments.

Art is an enormous priority for us at Midland College, and we take great pride in this program which began in 1971, even before the campus had a fine arts building! MC offers a dynamic art program — including oil and watercolor painting, print making, drawing, ceramics, sculpture and photography — that continues to lead the way in educating students in all fields of art.
