The 2013 edition of Kids' College at MC has come to a close. Thank you for being a part of the fun. Watch this space, beginning this spring, for news of the 2014 edition of Kids' College.

What You Need to Know

Fee Schedule

Each Kid's College class is $45 with supply fees that range from $5 to $25. Prices for COM Aquatics, Midland Community Theater and Sciensational Workship classes differ.

Students Grade Level

To be eligible for Kids' College, students must have finished grades 1-6 in school year 2012-2013. No exceptions will be made.

Conduct

Since the purpose of Kids' College is to provide an enrichment program, proper standards of conduct are necessary to protect the health, safety and well-being of all Kids' College students.

 • Behavior that might interfere with the educational process is unacceptable. 
 • Students will be respectful of their students and staff. 
 • Students will be careful with college equipment, property, and the property of other students. 
 • Safety of students is our first responsibility.  Students MAY NOT GO ANYWHERE on campus without being

   accompanied by a staff member. 
 • Parents will be contacted if their child is involved in any unacceptable situations during the day.  If you have

   been contacted due to unacceptable behavior, you will be asked to pick up your child.  
 • Staff members have the right, at any time, to exclude any child from activities due to failure or inability to follow,

   as directed, any and all rules and/or policies for participants.

Health Concerns

Kids’ College Coordinators have completed the requirements for Standard First Aid, Adult, Child & Infant CPR, Epi-Auto Injector, and Asthma Inhaler.  Training was coordinated through the American Red Cross.  If you have any concerns regarding your child’s health please visit with the Kids’ College Associate Director at 685-4724.  Children with food allergies are advised not to enroll in a cooking class.

Schedules and Name Tags

Since registration is online, Kids’ College will not print and mail class schedules, therefore, please print a copy of your child’s schedule at the time of registration.  Please make sure that your child knows their class schedule before attending Kids’ College.

In case of inclement weather, please keep a copy of this schedule so you will know the class and building your child is located in.

Children will be given nametags during the first Kids’ College class. Nametags include a list of classes with room numbers and building names. Students are encouraged to wear their nametags for the duration, as this assists the Kids’ College staff.

Clothing

Students should dress in casual play clothes, with care given to appropriate clothing for special classes.  If your child is in basketball or PE & More, they must wear tennis/running shoes to participate.  Sandals and flip flops are not allowed on gym floors.

Snack

There will be a break between the second and third classes to allow for class changes and an organized “group” refreshment break.

Lost and Found

All lost and found articles will be located in the Kids’ College office in Portable Building 7A or call 432-686-4242

T-shirts

Shirts will be given to all students in the 12:40 class on Tuesday of the second week of each Kids’ College session. If you are not enrolled in a 12:40 class, please pick up a t-shirt at the Kids’ College office on the second Wednesday of classes. Kids’ College office is  located in Portable Building 7A or call 432-686-4242.  T-shirts cannot be replaced if students lose them.

We encourage all students to wear their t-shirt on the last day of classes in each session. If you are enrolled in all Kids’ College sessions, you will receive one t-shirt during the first session.
