Alfredo Chaparro is the director of Community Services at Midland College. Mr. Chaparro received a bachelor's and master's degrees in Accounting at Texas Tech University. Mr. Chaparro earned his CPA license in Texas. Mr. Chaparro's work experience includes Internal Auditor for a Bank of America, Accountant for the Texas Tech University, Health Sciences Center and Inventory Control Specialist for a small manufacturing company. Mr. Chaparro has served on the boards of Midland Affordable Housing Alliance (MAHA), Midland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (Director of Economic Development), and Midland Housing Finance Corporation (Treasurer). He currently serves on the boards of the Casa de Amigos, Teen Court, and Midland Affordable Housing Alliance.
Paul McCord is a business, credit, and certified housing counselor for the BEDC. Paul is a certified homebuyer education trainer. Paul has a broad and varied background in business. He began a healthcare industry newspaper in Dallas, Texas in the 1980's which he eventually sold to a specialty newspaper and magazine publisher, and later formed, managed and sold a successful mortgage banking company. In the early 2000's he formed a sales and marketing training company. Paul has published three sales and marketing books and has had over 200 articles appear in publications such as Forbes, Business Week, Sales and Marketing Management, Entrepreneur and The Wall Street Journal. In 2014, Forbes Magazine recognized him as one of the 30 most influential leaders in the area of social selling. Paul has a bachelor's degree in Literature and Philosophy from Texas A&M Commerce.
Celia Molina Roux is a bilingual business, credit and certified housing counselor for the BEDC. Celia is also a certified homebuyer education trainer. Celia has over 25-year experience in various insurance industry positions including ten years as a small business owner of a State Farm Agency. While an agent, she maintained a mortgage brokers license and series 6 and 63 securities brokers licenses. Celia has a Bachelor of Business Administration from UTPB and a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Tulsa College of Law. Celia served as an executive board member and educational chair to the Odessa Hispanic Chamber. She also worked on the Texas Scholar board and completed Midland 101.
Liz Baiza is the project assistant for the BEDC. Liz is bilingual, fluent in Spanish and a Notary Public. Liz graduated from American Commercial College with an AAS in Accounting and also acquired her Executive Secretary certification. Recently she has received a certificate in Fundamentals of Supervision and Management from Midland College. Liz is the volunteer chair of the Social Assistance Ministry at the FDGE Apostolic Assembly Church in Midland Texas. As chair, she is in charge of the food pantry and distribution of food baskets to members of the congregation and the community.
