Trout Fishing in America

Free concert for MC employees and students

Monday, February 11, 2:00 p.m., Allison Fine Arts Building, Wagner & Brown Auditorium
Trout Fishing in America is the long-standing musical partnership of Keith Grmiwood and Ezra Idlet.  The name, taken from a Richard Brautigan novel, seems almost as incongruous as a picture of this musical duo:  Ezra Idlet (guitar) stands six feet nine inches and Keith Grimwood (bass), five one and one-half inches. After three decades of writing, recording and performing together, Trout Fishing in America can look back at a body of work that is impressive and know they are just hitting their stride.

Keep Midland Beautiful Honors
Congratulations to Ken Riley, MC director of physical plant, on receiving Keep Midland Beautiful's "Done Deal" award.  Ken is a past board chair of Keep Midland Beautiful and has been instrumental in helping to educate the community in water conservation and beautification efforts.

In addition to Ken's award, Midland College has been recognized with outstanding achievement honors by Keep Midland Beautiful.  MC's award is due in large part to those dedicated and awesome employees in our Grounds Department who keep our campus beautiful while still observing water conservation techniques.

Both Ken and MC were recognized at the annual Keep Midland Beautiful Achievement Awards luncheon on January 24.
