Midland College Volleyball schedules Breast Cancer Awareness event

MIDLAND, TEXAS - The Midland College Lady Chaparral volleyball team will be hosting its second Breast Cancer Awareness Event on Wednesday, October 22nd @ 6:45 p.m. in the Al G. Langford Chaparral Center.
This event will be held in conjunction with the Midland College vs. New Mexico Military Institute volleyball match, which starts at 7:00 p.m.
October is American Cancer Society Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Midland College volleyball team and employees hope that their involvement will bring greater attention to the disease of breast cancer and the many thousands of lives that are affected by it each year.
Any fans wearing a pink shirt or blouse will be admitted free-of-charge to the match.
The MC volleyball team and our employees will be wearing pink Midland College Chaparral t-shirts with the slogan “Making Strides Every Day” and the ceremonial pink ribbon on back. The NMMI volleyball team will be participating in the pre-match photo as well as the ceremonial first serve using pink, black and white volleyballs. Additionally, the teams and respective coaches will present two volleyballs, autographed by the Midland College team, to representatives of the Midland and Odessa chapters of the American Cancer Society.
Immediately following the pre-match festivities, the two teams will begin play at approximately 7:00 p.m. |
