Student Email Instructions


Please allow 4 working days from the time of registration for your student email account to be activated.

Welcome to the Midland College Student Email System (SES).To access your email account select the Access MC Student Email link above. You will be prompted with a Security Alert you must select "YES" (or "OK," depending on your web browser) to continue.

A dialog box will appear prompting you to enter your USERNAME and PASSWORD.

Your Username is a composite of three items. First letter of first name, first three letters of last name and last three numbers of your SSN.

For example: for John Jones SSN 451-00-2345 The Username will be jjon345

Your Password is your social security number (no dashes).

Your login screen may appear slightly different depending on your web browser.
For security reasons we recommend that you change your password. You can do that once you login to the account by selecting options and following the directions listed. For assistance and additional information call 685-4507.Midland College student email guidelines and limitations:
  • Each student account is allotted 10 megabytes of space for storage. Once the account is full you will not receive any new incoming email. Please keep the box cleared.
  • The student email system is good for one year. The account will be reestablished for the students who enroll for the Fall, Spring and Summer for the next school year.
  • The student should change their password on their first login for security reasons.
  • This email will become the primary method of communicating with the student in the future. The student should check it often.

The student email has a FORWARD TO: option which will allow you to forward all or part of your email to an outside email account like Yahoo or Hotmail. Once you have logged in, select the Options button at the top of the screen. Select the Rules tab. When the rules screen comes up go to the Create a new rule section and select Forward To. At the next dialog box change the If forward by selecting the drop down button and select Apply to All Messages. At the bottom of that dialog box is the Forward To: This is where you enter the email address that you wish to send the email to. WARNING once the email leaves the Midland College account we can not recover it. If you forward your email and it is lost we have no control or a way to recover it.
