Dorothy and Clarence Scharbauer, Jr. Student Center

          

One of the first four original campus buildings, the Student Center was built in 1975. It was first expanded in the fall of 1989 and was rededicated as the Dorothy and Clarence Scharbauer, Jr., Student Center in May, 1995.

Thanks to the generosity and support of the Midland community, the $41.8 million bond passed in May 2005 provided for new construction and renovation to this building. Expanded facilities include the Midland College Bookstore (located in the north section of the Student Center), Counseling Center, Financial Aid offices, Admissions and Registrar services, Testing/Tutoring Center, Student Support Services, Cashier center, and renovated spaces for Student Activities including a snack bar, student lounge and recreation areas.

The Carrasco Room, located inside the newly-constructed north section of the Student Center, is available to the public for meetings and other events .
