The Bill Pace Cogdell Scholarship

In 1997 Midland businessman and benefactor, Bill Pace Cogdell, passed away. His passing allowed Midland residents to realize yet another example of his generosity. Mr. Cogdell established a scholarship trust to establish the Bill Pace Cogdell Scholarship (BPCS).

Unlike other scholarships that are primarily intended for students with exemplary academic records, this scholarship is intended for individuals who need financial aid assistance to complete their education. The BPCS helps academic dreams come true for needy students.

The BPCS pays for all tuition, fees, and books until a student completes their degree. The scholarship begins at Midland College and can be transferred to UTPB. The scholarship has the potential of providing well over $10,000 of financial assistance to scholarship recipients.

Last year, over $100,000 of scholarship assistance was provided to BPCS recipients. Currently, there are 54 students on the BPCS.
