
COLLEGE CLASSICS FACULTY
Tori Baca has been tap dancing for over 50 years, performing as well as teaching. Thought it would be fun to
share my expertise to create a fun and interesting workout.
Bill Bucy is a retiree from the oil well service industry. He has a M.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from
Texas Tech. He has been associated with College Classics for thirteen years.
Glen Davis was born and raised in Odessa, Notrees, Alpine and Midland. He graduated in the second class of
Lee High school, attended the University of Houston and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. Glen
has been a teacher in junior high, high school, junior college levels, and was a teaching assistant at the
University of Texas. Glen attended his first pow-wow at Anadarko, OK in 1949. He worked on the planning/steering
committee of the Austin Pow-Wow and American Indian Cultural Festival for ten years, and was an active
member of the Red Voices, Inc. Conference Planning Committee (a 501-C3 non-profit group which organized and
presented national conferences on topics of interest to American Indians and A-I educators), and the American
Indian Education Committee. Glen is active in genealogy as a hobby, with a focus on Southeastern Indian
nations. He is retired from the State of Texas where he was employed in a variety of professional capacities for
28+ years.
Ann Dixon has been a Living Historian for the past 16 years and has extensively researched women's roles on
Texas frontier posts especially those in West Texas. She has organized Living History conferences in Midland and
at Ft. Richardson State Historic Park and has also been the keynote speaker for the Frontier Women's Living
History Conference at Ft. Concho. She is often seen at living history events working with young people as an
1870's frontier seamstress relating the story of the settlement of Texas through quilt blocks from that time. She is
also a retired MISD teacher and has worked with Ft. Davis National Historic Site in developing pre- and post-visit
lesson plans for visiting student groups.
John Deats received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Houston (1974) and obtained his
Master of Library Science degree from North Texas State University (1976). He has served as Director of the
Fasken Learning Resource Center for 17 years, and prior to that served in public library administration for 14
years. A long-time film buff, he enjoys both seeing films and reading about them. His special interests include the
“classics“, historical and epic films, comedies, Westerns and movie soundtracks.
Terry Dummer is an Assistant Professor and has been with Midland College for ten years. He has been a Coop
Coordinator, Economic Development Training Director, Director of electronics and computer departments and now
a teacher in the IT department. Prior to MC, Terry worked at numerous occupations: Texas Workforce
Commission, Director of two MHMR clinics, Production Supervisor at TI, Oilfield Computer Controller Tech. He
owned a small computer company and was an air traffic controller for many years.
Terry Gilmour is professor of government at Midland College. She received her bachelor's and master's degrees
from West Texas A&M and her doctorate from Texas Tech University.
Marilyn Irving is a Master Graphoanalyst, having received her Master's degree from the International
Graphoanalysis Society in Chicago. She became interested in handwriting analysis during her teaching career,
finding it a wonderful tool to help understand the students' personalities and aptitudes. Marilyn teaches handwriting
classes and seminars, does pre-employment screening, and enjoys speaking to clubs and organizations.
Will Morris, Ph.D., is Dean of Social and Behavioral Sciences and a history professor at Midland College. His
long running College Classics World History class has evolved into United States History and includes a group of
faithful students who would not miss a minute of whatever he chooses to teach. Dr. Morris is one of College
Classics' most vocal supporters and dedicated teachers. He teaches two hours a week in every session offered.
Marty Villarreal is an Assistant Professor of Information Technology with Midland College. She teaches the
Cisco Networking Academy and Information Security classes.
