ABOUT THE MIDLAND COLLEGE

CRIMINAL JUSTICE PROGRAM

Students enrolled in the Midland College Criminal Justice program have three options. Those interested in transferring to a four-year school can choose the Associate of Science Degree option. All courses in this plan transfer to colleges or universities in Texas offering degrees in Criminal Justice or related fields.

Individuals intending to enter the workforce, and not planning to pursue a four-year degree at another institution may select the Associate of Applied Science - Law Enforcement Degree option. This plan includes more criminal justice courses and fewer academic requirements. Although not intended to transfer, some courses included in this option may transfer to upper level institutions. Additionally, individuals earning the AAS - LE degree may be granted admission to the Bachelor of Applied Technology (BAT) Degree at Midland College. For more information on the BAT Degree check the appropriate web page from the Midland College web site.

Those students interested in studying criminal justice without including the traditional academic courses may select the Law Enforcement Certificate option.
