Thank You Midland!

Thanks to the generosity and support of our community, Midland College continues to grow. Besides the $41.8 million bond passed in May 2005, and its associated new buildings and renovations, there are other improvements also ongoing. Below is an update of those renovations.

Bond-related Projects

Other MC Renovations

When Voters approved the bond for expansions and renovations at Midland College May 7, 2005, it was by one of the largest margins of victory for an elective tax increase in the last decade (70% voting for).

"The approval of this bond issue ... will mean the college will continue to grow in numbers, will continue to present relevant programs that meet the needs of the people, that address the needs of the economy," Midland College President Dr. David Daniel said. "It really moves the college to a new level of delivery of quality programs."

The expansion and renovation projects are scheduled to take place in phases between 2005 and 2010. A list of projects, description, and status is listed below. Pictures will be provided when available.

Important Notice

Construction crews are scheduled to begin installing a raised crosswalk at the Dollye Neal Chapel on Monday, July 14. It is expected the project could require three to four weeks for completion, during which time this part of the Chapparal Circle (on the south side of the campus, between the Al G. Langford Chapparal Center and the Allison Fine Arts Center) will be closed. Please plan your visits to our campus accordingly.
