Preparing a previously used course for the next semester
Login to Blackboard and select your course:
Export the gradebook (if you used it) and save it to your computer. This is necessary because when a student is removed from a course or from the Blackboard system, all assessment information for that student account is lost.
To export the gradebook, select the course Control Panel, then Gradebook, then Download Grades. Download the file to your computer.
Archive your course. Select the course Control Panel, then select Archive Course. Follow the instructions on the screen to save the file to your computer.
Recycle your course being sure all previous students are removed. To recycle a course, select the course, select Control Panel, Recycle Course. Select the appropriate check boxes and Submit.
Drop/Adds
Students who have dropped your course
Instructors are responsible for removing students that have withdrawn from their course(s).
Students who “Late Register”
Please add these students through the control panel of your course (This can only be done if the student already has a Blackboard account)
After searching the system, if the student account is not present, please email me with the student's name, ssn, and the Blackboard course ID of the course that you would like the student added too.
Note: PLEASE, do NOT instruct your students to contact me to add them to your course.
