Kimberly Boone is a native of Fort Smith, AR however she was born in Los Angeles, CA.  She graduated from Fort Smith Southside High School where she participated in volleyball and softball, twice earning All-State honors in both softball and volleyball.  She and her SHS teammates won two state championships in volleyball and finished runner-up in her senior season.

Following her high school graduation Coach Boone attended the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith (NJCAA – Division I) where she played volleyball.  While at UA-Fort Smith, Boone played libero and helped lead her team to consecutive NJCAA Championship tournament appearances.  Boone was named to the NJCAA Academic All-American list and earned her way onto the Dean’s List while at Fort Smith.  She earned an Associate of the Arts degree at UA-Fort Smith. 
                       
Next for Coach Boone was a stint at the University of Arkansas – Little Rock (NCAA – Division I).  There she was a two-year starter as libero and defensive specialist.  Boone and the Lady Trojans played in consecutive Sun Belt Conference Tournaments.  While at UA-LR was named Sun Belt Conference All-Academic award winner as well as the Chancellor’s List.  She received a Bachelor of Sociology degree with a minor in Psychology (Magna Cum Laude).    
                                               
After completing her degree at UA-LR, Boone coached at Little Rock Central High School and led the team to a state tournament appearance.

For the entirety of her volleyball career, as a player and coach, Boone has been an integral part of winning programs.  

“We hope to do great things here at Midland College.  We’ll set our expectations high and work hard to achieve our goals.  With the facilities and the support of the administration and community, I think we can attract the kind of people and student-athletes that are winners.”
