Coach Jimenez is a native of Alpine, TX where she distinguished herself both athletically and academically.  She was named to the All-District first team as a senior as well as being selected as first team All-Permian Basin and first team All-West Texas.

Jimenez was also twice selected to the academic All-District team in 1997 and 1998.  In her two seasons on the varsity at AHS, Jimenez helped guide her team to two district championships and a record of 47-14 over that time span.

Following high school, Jimenez continued her playing career at Frank Phillips College in Borger, TX.  She then enrolled at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, TX where she earned a Bachelor of Information Systems Management degree in 2003.

Jimenez came to Midland College shortly after finishing St. Mary’s University working in the Human Resources department as a Benefits Coordinator.  Jimenez coached several club teams in the area from 2005-2007.

Coach Jimenez joined the Lady Chap volleyball team in August of 2007, serving as the first full-time assistant coach in the program’s history.  Coach Jimenez is currently completing a Master of Human Resources Management through the University of Phoenix.
