She came to Midland College from York College (York, NE).  After graduation, she worked as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for volleyball and softball where she focused on nutrition and providing individual workout regimens.  She also served as the Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach where she was in charge of guard play, individual workouts, and scouting reports.  At York, she was an adjunct Biology teacher who taught the biology, human anatomy, and physiology labs.  Gatliff also worked for a company called Mosaic where she worked with the mentally and physically disabled.  She has been a coach with the Special Olympics for the past four years.

Gatliff is a native of Lawton, OK and a graduate of Eisenhower High School (2001) where she was a three-sport athlete (tennis, basketball and softball).  She earned All-Conference recognition in each of the three sports in her senior year and was named Most Valuable Senior (softball), Most Outstanding Female Student Athlete and the Cecil Powell Award winner.  Coach Gatliff was the first-ever female to win the Cecil Powell award which is bestowed on the athlete who best exemplifies the ideals of strong academics, character, and athleticisms.  Gatliff was also a dedicated student named to the Who’s Who Among American High School Students and was on the Honor Roll from 1998-2001.

Following her prep career, Gatliff enrolled at York College (NAIA) where she was a standout basketball player as a four-year starter and team captain until her graduation.  She was also named to the All-Conference team for four years and was named to the Academic All-American team as a junior and senior.  Gatliff finished her collegiate playing career at York as the school’s record holder in steals in a game, season, and career.  She also holds the school record for most career assists.  Gatliff graduated from York with honors (Cum Laude) in 2005 with a BA in Biology.  She currently finished her Dual Masters of Sports Science Degree in Sports Management and Sports Fitness.
