ODESSA -- The Midland College women's basketball team got 17 points from Tanica Anderson on its way to a 85-62 victory over McLennan College at the Odessa College Classic. The Lady Chaps also got 16 points from Robnesha Brigham and 10 from Jessi Cowden.
The Lady Chaps outrebounded the Highlassies 48-35, including an 18-7 advantage on the offensive boards. Anderson also led the Lady Chaps with six rebounds.
Sara Stanley led the Highlassies with 14 points, while Katie Pavlik and Macy Wishcmeier chipped in 12 each. Midland College led 40-33 at halftime.
The Lady Chaps don't play again until New Year's Day at 6 p.m. against San Jacinto College in Waco.
