The Midland College Chaps defeated the North Lake College Blazers 88-50 in their last game of the fall semester. Midland College received a lift from sophomore Kavon Lytch's 31-point, 10-rebound performance. The Chaps also received strong contributions from Greg Hill (16 points) and David Terrell who scored 14 points on an assortment of "alley-oop" dunk shots.

MC dominated in all phases of the game including total rebounds 37-25, steals 21-7 and three-point percentage 35.7% to 18.2% against the North Lake College zone defense. North Lake is the defending NJCAA Division III National Champion.

The Chaparrals will next be in action on January 2nd @ 7:30 p.m. in Houston against Lone Star College - Cy-Fair and on January 3rd @ 7:30 p.m. at Sam Houston State University against Lone Star College - Tomball.
