Coach Greene has finished his second successful season as an assistant basketball coach at MC. Coach Greene is in charge of our forwards and posts skill development and personal instruction. He also runs the strength and conditioning program for our players and is very involved in scouting, game preparation and monitoring our players academic progress. He has been active on the recruiting trail and has been responsible for several young men choosing to become Chaparrals in the 2009-10 season.
Coach Greene is a great asset to Midland College in his two seasons as the Chaps have compiled a 61-8 record, two WJCAC Championships, two Top 10 overall finishes and a berth in the national championship game.
Coach Greene is a native of Freeport,
Bahamas where he graduated from Coconut Creek High School
in 2000. Greene won gold and silver medals for the
Bahamian Junior National basketball teams in 1998 and 2000.
After receiving
his high school diploma, Greene enrolled at Northwest College,
WY where he played basketball for two seasons. He enrolled at
Arkansas Tech University in 2003 where he played one season. He
transferred to and concluded his college basketball career
at Harding University, AR in 2005. Greene worked as color commentator for NBA-TV
covering NBDL games in 2005 and 2006. Coach Greene earned
a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Management as
well as a Master of Science in Kinesiology, both from Harding
University.
Coach Greene
joined the Harding University coaching staff as a graduate
assistant from 2005-2007, just prior to coming to Midland
College.
