The #8 Midland College Chaparrals won a tough game on the road at New Mexico Junior College in their second conference game of the season to improve their overall season record to 12-1 and 2-0 in WJCAC conference play.  The Chaps were up by six at the half and turned up the defensive intensity in the second half on their way to a 86-69 win over NMJC.  Greg Hill paced the Chaps in scoring with 19 points and was supported by Scooby Van Buren (16 points, 3 assists) and Brad Kelleher (13 points, 6 assists).
