The #1 Midland College Chaparrals improved to 17-0 on the season and 1-0 in WJCAC play with a hard fought 85-72 road win over Frank Phillips College on Monday.  The Chaps started slow offensively, but fought back and locked down defensively en route to their win.  Brockeith Pane (SO Guard, Houston) led the Chaps in scoring with 22 points and 6 assists and Darrell Williams (SO Foward, Chicago) cleaned the glass for the Chaps with 13 boards to go along with his 16 points.  Jordan Walker (10 pts, 7 reb) and Ty Nurse (11 pts) came off the bench to provide a valuable spark for Midland. 

MC will open conference play at home tomorrow, January 14th against South Plains College.
