Who: First-time entering freshmen. Concurrent high school or Early Admission students are also welcome to attend. (High School graduation required)

What: Jumpstart is a Midland College orientation and registration session.

What's in it for Me?

  • This early registration will give you first choice at the classes being offered, better assuring you are able to get the classes you want!
  • Counselors and staff will be on hand to answer your questions about which classes to take.
  • Students will look at degree plans and transfer guides to four-year institutions.
  • Get to know current MC students by learning more about student activities.
  • Meet your future classmates.
  • Parents Welcome - Separate sessions.

JUMPSTART Dates are
July 14th, 15th and
the 16th, 2009.


Sessions on all three days are 9:00 - 12:00 and 1:30 - 4:30

Each session is limited
to the first
50 students who register

Fall Walk-in registration
begins August 3, 2009

Requirements: All participants will be required to:

1. Application for Admissions to Midland College is required. However, if you are a concurrent student at Midland College, you do not need to complete a new application. To register for Jump Start select the Jumpstart Registration link at the top of this page.

2. You must have taken the THEA or be exempt. If you are exempt, we will need a copy of your TAKS, ACT or SAT scores.

3. A final high school transcript showing the date of graduation will be required once you have graduated from high school.

4. Students wishing to enroll in College Algebra must take the FREE placement test prior to registration. Contact the Testing Center at (432) 685-4504.
