Midland College is offering a collaborative Radiography program with Odessa College, leading to the degree of associate of applied science. Radiographers operate x-ray machines in the diagnosis of disease, and may go on to specialize in CT scanning, MRI or other related fields. Satisfactory completion of the program qualifies the graduate to take the certifying examination of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and to apply for MRT certification by the Texas Department of State Health Services. This course is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiology Technology.
A balanced curriculum combines classroom and laboratory instruction with supervised practicums at local medical imaging centers. The mission of the Midland College Radiography Program is to provide for both the professional career development and the personal development of each student in the field of Radiography.
During the 2010-2011 academic year, Midland College will continue to independently teach courses for the second-year Radiography students.
Special Admission Requirements: The Midland College Radiography Program has limited enrollment based on specific admission criteria. Students seeking information on the admission criteria should contact the Midland College Health Sciences Division.

Radiography (RADR) courses must be taken according to the suggested sequence.
