Midland College is approved by the Texas Department of Human Services, Long Term Care Credentialing to offer the five courses and the internship program to those seeking to become Licensed Nursing Home Administrators in the State of Texas. Five courses are offered via the internet and are available through the Midland College website (www.midland.edu) using the Blackboard program. In order to become a Licensed Long Term Care Administrator in the State of Texas, an individual must possess a bachelor’s degree, complete the five academic courses and the 1,000 clock hour internship, make application to the state and successfully pass the National Association of the Board of Examiners for Nursing Home Administrators (NAB) exam and the Texas State Standards Exam.
