Welcome to Midland College’s Department of Institutional Planning, Effectiveness and Research (IPER) homepage. This department has responsibilities for providing leadership and direction for the college-wide planning and assessment process including compiling and publishing various documents and reports.
The IPER staff includes the Special Advisor to the President, the Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Planning, one Data Analyst, one Data Specialist,one secretary and one parttime faculty member responsible for General Education and Core Assessment activities.. The Special Advisor to the President serves as the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACS-COC) accreditation liaison for the college and has responsibilities as the IPEDS key holder. The Data Analyst is designated as the College’s data coordinator.
This website provides current resources and materials to promote institutional effectiveness. Gathering and coordinating information related to strategic planning, institutional research and assessment provides a spectrum of information for faculty and staff, and builds transparency into the College's activities and achievements.
The Department of Institutional Planning, Effectiveness and Research strives to facilitate the integration of all planning, assessment and institutional research activities in an effort to encourage the continuous assessment and improvement of the College's mission and goals.
