Who can take the GED test?
Can I take the test in Spanish?
Yes. Spanish testing is available on certain dates. Contact the Testing Center for the schedule.
When can I take the test?
During the regular college school year, GED tests are scheduled at 2-week intervals,
generally.
Call or visit the Testing Center for scheduled dates.
The tests are spread out over a 2-day period, and each test is timed. The schedule
for the test subjects is:

Do I have to take all 5 tests at once?
No. When you register for the tests, you will have to pay for all 5, but you are not required to take all 5 tests in one session.
How do I sign up for the test?
You will need to register for the tests on the Thursday before the testing week, at the Midland College Testing Center, beginning at 12:00 Noon. When you register:
How can I prepare for the GED exam?
The Midland College Adult Basic Education Center offers FREE GED preparation classes. To register for these classes, call 685-4720 or 685-4566, or visit our central office in rm. SF176 at the Midland College Campus.
What do I need to score to pass the GED test?
You must have a minimum score of 410 in each of the 5 subjects listed above, with an average score of 450 overall (A total score of 2250).
What do I do if I fail one or more of the subjects?
Any tester who fails in any subject may retake the test on that subject. Non-students must wait 6 months before they can retest, while ABE students must prove to their instructor that they are prepared to retest in order to test before the 6-month period is over. At this time, retests will require an extra $15 payment per subject.
What if I have special needs, or a condition that prevents me from testing?
Special Needs testing can be accommodated with the required documentation
