WelcomeWorkforce Continuing Education (WFCE) offers courses designed to assist students in developing or enhancing their occupational skills. WFCE also offers retraining for students interested in pursuing new career opportunities as well as certifications and mandatory licensure updates for both technical and non-technical professions. The Midland College WFCE department works with individuals and professional groups to develop and organize applicable continuing education course offerings, seminars and forums.
Microsoft Office 2007Midland College WFCE is proud to offer Microsoft Office 2007 courses. Courses range from specific application courses like Word Basic, Intermediate, Advanced, VBA Programming to an all-empassing Microsoft Office 2007 Comprehensive course, which covers all the basic applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).

WFCE is proud to offer customized training for courses in the this collection as well as Microsoft Windows Vista and Microsoft Office 2007. We've got Dell!Midland College's Advanced Technology Center is home to the Workforce Education Department and over 500 Dell Optiplex 755 computers. This provides all WFCE and Customized Training students access to the latest hardware and finest computers in Texas. Computer labs also are available for rental.
Lunch-n-LearnsWe know it’s hard to get away from the office - that’s why we developed our “Lunch-n-Learn” series. If you’re still anxious to learn but can’t spare an entire day away from the office or don’t want to give up your evenings, these 2 hour sessions are a great way to get maximum information for minimum time and financial investment!
Electrical ProgramAlthough it is open to anyone who is interested, the electrical program offers a variety of courses designed to enhance the technical knowledge of the electrical apprentice or licensed electrician. The WFCE Department is also approved by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation as a provider of the mandatory 4 hour yearly CEU requirement for electricians.
Career Development WorkshopsOur career development workshops are designed to equip students with fundamental skills vital to their professional success. Topics include Ready to Advance, Peer to Boss Transition, and Back to Work Boot Camp. The courses are open to anyone and there are no pre-requisites or applications required! |
